How Our Network Works for Homeowners
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent tree removal provider in our network. Mechanicalscientists Tree Service does not send crews or staff to your home. The provider you speak with runs their own business and does the work.
What Happens on the First Conversation
Expect simple questions. The provider may ask:
- Where is the tree, and how close is it to the house?
- Is it dead, leaning, cracked or storm damaged?
- Are power lines or fences nearby?
- Do you need stump grinding too?
- Can a truck reach the yard, or is access tight?
Photos can help. Have them ready if you can. A few clear shots from a safe distance often tell a provider a lot.
What to Ask a Provider
A first-timer does not need to know tree terms. These questions are enough:
- Can I have a written quote before work starts?
- Does the quote include hauling and cleanup?
- Is stump grinding included, or priced separately?
- Can you show proof of insurance?
- How will you protect my roof, lawn and fence?
Quote before work. If a provider will not put the price in writing, move on.
Safety Do and Do Not
Do keep family and pets away from a damaged tree. Do document damage with photos. Providers can often help document damage for a claim, and some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy.
Do not climb or cut a stressed tree yourself. Do not go near fallen limbs that touch power lines. Do not park under a tree that looks cracked or leaning.
You Are in Control
Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can ask questions, compare quotes and say no. Prices vary by job, so a written quote matters. Take your time and pick the provider who explains things clearly.
